About us 

The RNLI’s Lifeboat Station in Walton and Frinton is looking for a volunteer to expand their involvement with the existing team in the role of Lifeboat Training Co-ordinator.

There has been a lifeboat station at Walton and Frinton for over 130 years. The lifesaving achievements of crew members have been recognised by the RNLI 75 times. Today’s crew operate a Tamar class all-weather lifeboat.

The impact you will make

This role will help us save lives at sea by co-ordinating, planning and recording all aspects of training at the lifeboat station so that all crew are adequately prepared for service and the required standards are met.

What you will be doing

  • Maintain station training records
  • Co-ordinate training with the Lifeboat Operations Manager, Coxswain/Helm and Mechanic
  • Contact Area Assessor and Divisional Assessor Trainer with regard to assessments
  • Maintain the station training plan
  • Carry out succession planning with the Lifeboat Operations Manager
