Mae Gorsaf Bad Achub yr RNLI ym Burry Port yn chwilio am wirfoddolwr i ymuno â’r tîm presennol yn rôl Cadeirydd Grŵp Rheoli’r Bad Achub.

Gwirfoddolwyr yw holl aelodau Criw’r Bad Achub, a arweinir gan y Rheolwr Gweithrediadau Bad Achub a’r Dirprwy Awdurdodau Lansio, gyda chymorth tîm Criw’r Lan. Mae holl aelodau criw’r bad a chriw’r lan yn dilyn Cynllun Hyfforddi Cymhwysedd cenedlaethol yr RNLI ac yn ymateb i declynnau galw pan fydd cais i lansio’r badau achub. Mae’r tîm ehangach yn cynnwys codwyr arian gwirfoddol, gwirfoddolwyr siop a gwirfoddolwyr diogelwch dŵr.

• Darparu arweinyddiaeth leol i sicrhau bod holl swyddogaethau’r orsaf leol yn cael eu cydlynu a bod gwybodaeth yn cael ei rhannu, a datblygu dull ar y cyd o gynrychioli gweithgareddau’r RNLI i’r gymuned leol
• Cynnal cyfarfodydd rheolaidd ag aelodau o Grŵp Rheoli’r Bad Achub i drafod yr holl faterion sy’n ymwneud â’r RNLI yn lleol, gan sicrhau bod cofnodion yn cael eu cadw o’r cyfarfodydd hyn a chytuno ar gynlluniau gweithredu ar gyfer eitemau penodol, fel y bo’n briodol
• Datblygu perthnasoedd lleol a bod yn bwynt cyswllt cyffredin ar gyfer materion anweithredol cyffredinol yr RNLI yn lleol
• Annog a hwyluso arweinwyr yr holl dimau cefnogol i gydweithio’n anffurfiol ac yn rheolaidd
• Sicrhau bod allbwn priodol o’r cyfarfodydd yn cael ei gyfleu trwy’r arweinwyr tîm i holl wirfoddolwyr a staff yr RNLI
• Sicrhau bod arweinwyr yr holl dimau cefnogol yn ymwybodol o faterion polisi sy’n dod o Ganolfan Gymorth yr RNLI yn Poole
• Cyfarfod yn rheolaidd â’r Rheolwr Achub Bywydau Ardal i drafod materion sy’n ymwneud â rheoli’r RNLI yn lleol

About us

The RNLI is the charity that saves lives at sea. We provide, on call, a 24 hour lifeboat search and rescue service around the UK and Ireland, and a seasonal lifeguard service. With our lifeboats, lifeguards, safety messages and flood rescue we are committed to saving more lives.

The RNLI’s Lifeboat Station in Burry Port is looking for a volunteer to join the existing team in the role of Lifeboat Management Group Chair.

Covering part of the Lincolnshire coastline, Skegness has operated an all-weather lifeboat for over 175 years. Today, two lifeboats cover one of the region's busiest beaches and surrounding areas.  The Lifeboat Crew are all volunteers, headed up by the Lifeboat Operations Manager and Launch Authorities and supported by a Shore Crew team. All boat and shore crew follow the RNLI’s national Competency Based Training Scheme and respond to pagers when there is a request to launch the lifeboats. The wider team includes volunteer fundraisers, shop volunteers and youth education presenters.

The role of the Lifeboat Management Group Chair is to provide local leadership to ensure that all functions of the local station are co-ordinated by holding regular meetings, developing local relationships and communicating effectively with all stakeholders.

It is a good opportunity for the right person to join a motivated and enthusiastic local team and have the satisfaction of contributing to saving lives at sea without even getting wet!

If you have good communication skills, enjoy working as part of a team, have an interest in the RNLI and the ability to chair a meeting effectively this could be the role for you. No maritime experience necessary.
