The RNLI’s Lifeboat Station in Bridlington is looking for a volunteer to join the existing team in the role of Deputy Launching Authority.

Over its 200-year history, Bridlington Lifeboat Station crew have been presented with over 50 awards for gallantry, the latest in 2004. The station operates both inshore and all-weather lifeboats.

The impact you will make

This role will help us save lives at sea by carrying out the day to day management of the lifeboat station to ensure a permanent state of readiness for service.

What you will be doing

  • Authorise launch of the lifeboats (and hovercraft if appropriate)
  • Provide leadership in the absence of the Lifeboat Operations Manager or as delegated
  • Ensure that all operational activities are carried out to maintain the lifeboats and all associated equipment in a constant state of readiness for launching on service.
