About us

The RNLI’s Lifeboat Station in New Quay is looking for a volunteer to lead the existing team in the role of Lifeboat Operations Manager.

Since 1864 the lifeboats and crews of New Quay have covered part of Cardigan Bay where today, sailing, fishing and other water sports are among the main attractions.  The crews have been presented with 4 medals for gallantry.

The impact you will make

This role will help us save lives at sea by carrying out the day-to-day management of the lifeboat station to ensure a permanent state of readiness for service.

What you will be doing

  • Authorise launch of the lifeboats
  • Provide leadership of the operations team
  • Ensure that all operational activities are carried out to maintain the lifeboats and all associated equipment in a constant state of readiness for launching on service
