About us
We’re searching for people who would like to help us to raise money to help save more lives at sea.
The impact you will make
You will enable volunteer RNLI lifeboat crews to save lives at sea by carrying out and supporting vital fundraising activity in your local community.
What you will be doing
- Suggest and develop a variety of different fundraising events from coffee mornings and quizzes
- to runs and Lifeboat Fun Days.
- Main point of contact for the planning, organisation and delivery of all fundraising team events, ensuring documented event plans, risk assessments, permissions and insurance are in place.
- Follow RNLI event procedures and best practice to ensure all fundraising events are safe, compliant and customer focused.
- Ensure the fundraising team have the skills, experience, resources and time to deliver the scale of events being planned.
- Ensuring all events are registered on the fundraising events online registration system and providing relevant data for post-event reporting.
- Drive appropriate promotion for the events.
- Liaise with your RNLI Manager for high-risk activities e.g. dips and swims.
- Ensure existing volunteers are briefed and trained appropriately to support your event.
- Recruit a diverse group of new volunteers to assist with fundraising events where necessary to drive
- our One Crew ethos.

What do you need for this role?
- Be happy and confident in a leading role with the ability to motivate others.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Attention to detail.
- IT literate (MS Office and internet).
