About us
The Young People’s Network is a network and community for all young people across the RNLI, whether that's young in age or young in career/volunteering journeys. The network is a place to maintain and encourage enthusiasm and passion throughout the RNLI, inspiring personal and organisational growth, all whilst creating meaningful relationships across the charity. As a group, we also look to influence and challenge decision making, processes, and policies within the organisation that impact young people – driven, and brought together, by the chairs of the group. Currently, there are over 55 members in the group.
The co-chairs, at present, are currently 2 x members of staff. We have a vision of the future leadership having staff and volunteer representation.
The impact you will make
This role supports and leads the Young People's Network to achieve its purpose, by facilitating meetings, delivering on network objectives and being the representative between the members and ET.
What will you be doing?

This role is responsible for leading on network activity, including:

Facilitating meetings (currently 1 network meeting, bi-monthly)

Objective lead support, objectives oversite and activity involvement

Event objective – 2 events per year
-
Reverse mentoring – relaunched in 2025
-
Deep Dive Discussion – 2 per year
-
Supporting the membership whether that’s sharing RNLI news and information, answering questions, passing network updates to the sponsor, or sign-posting further support to members as needed

Liaison with sponsor, sharing updates & questions from members and taking anything to network as needed

Currently meeting bi-monthly

Partaking in wider EDI meetings (1 x monthly cross network meeting, other ad hoc throughout the year) & strategy requirements (i.e. feeding into EDI workflows / reviewing documentation ad hoc)

Stakeholder engagement re. YPN – being a representative, and advocate, of young people
