About us 

The RNLI has a network of local engagement teams organising a wide range of activities and events in the community to save lives at sea by raising funds and awareness.

We are looking for a Resource Custodian to transport and set up our Mobile Engagement Unit (exhibition trailer) from its storage location in Burnham-on-Crouch to various events in the local community and surrounding areas, liaising closely with the friendly crew at Burnham-on-Crouch Lifeboat Station Branch to agree dates and timings.

The exhibition trailer is an exciting new asset for the team, bringing many potential opportunities to engage with members of the public.

The impact you will make

You will enable the RNLI to save lives at sea by playing a critical role in enabling vital fundraising and awareness activity in local communities.

What you will be doing

  • Managing the safe transport and set up of the RNLI resources
  • Maintaining a diary to manage bookings
  • Co-ordinating the logistics of transporting the trailer to and from events as agreed
  • Organising maintenance when appropriate via the Community Manager
  • Championing the RNLI and helping to drive our One Crew ethos

What you need for this role

  • Enthusiasm
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Basic IT and administration skills
  • Planning and organisational skills
  • Full driving license and own vehicle capable of towing a lightweight exhibition trailer (additional insurance costs covered)
  • Confident driver with experience of towing trailers or caravans
