The RNLI is looking for a volunteer to support with the work of our Volunteering Development and Inclusion team. We are looking for somebody who is computer literate and who lives in the vicinity of Poole. You should be a team player with good communication skills and used to dealing with varied responsibilities. This is a great opportunity to get involved in an exciting area of our lifesaving organisation by helping to attract and support our volunteers and ensure they are recognised for their valuable contribution to saving lives at sea. 

The impact you will make 

This role will save lives at sea by providing administration support to our volunteering team to assist with attracting, engaging, supporting and recognising our volunteers.

 What you will be doing 

  • Responding to volunteer enquiries.
  • Assisting with administrative tasks including data entry and maintaining databases.
  • Assisting the Recognition team with award packaging, distribution and tasks as required.
  • Supporting the team with various tasks on an ad-hoc basis.
  • Complying with RNLI data governance. 

What you need for this role 

  • Computer literate with ability and confidence in using Microsoft systems and online databases.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Used to dealing with a variety of responsibilities.
  • Team player.
  • Live within the vicinity of Poole to carry out tasks in the office as and when required.
