Lifeboat Training Coordinator - Fleetwood

About us 

The RNLI’s Lifeboat Station in Fleetwood is looking for a volunteer to expand their involvement with the existing team in the role of Lifeboat Training Co-ordinator.

Celebrating over 150 years as a lifeboat station Fleetwood now operates both an all-weather Shannon class lifeboat and an inshore D class lifeboat. The crews have been presented with 15 awards for gallantry.

The impact you will make

This role will help us save lives at sea by co-ordinating, planning and recording all aspects of training at the lifeboat station so that all crew are adequately prepared for service and the required standards are met.

What you will be doing

• Maintain station training records
• Co-ordinate training with the Lifeboat Operations Manager, Coxswain/Helm and Mechanic
• Contact Area Assessor and Divisional Assessor Trainer with regard to assessments
• Maintain the station training plan
• Carry out succession planning with the Lifeboat Operations Manager
