About us
The RNLI North & East Region is organising a series of “Women in SAR – Leaders of the Future” events across each of the four lifesaving delivery areas along the coast, from Burnham-On-Crouch to Berwick-Upon-Tweed.
We have been successful in filling this role in area NE1 (Burnham-on-Crouch to Great Yarmouth and Gorleston) and are now looking for applications from areas NE3-NE1 (Happisburgh to Berwick-upon-Tweed)
The impact you will make
Volunteering alongside a variety of RNLI staff and volunteers, you will take a leading role in planning and delivering a volunteer focused event that is relevant, safe and compliant.
What you will be doing
- Collaborate with RNLI staff and volunteers to develop a series of volunteer focused events.
- Follow RNLI event procedures and best practice to ensure all fundraising events are safe, compliant and volunteer focused.
- Drive appropriate promotion for your event.
- Attend regular catch-up meetings and provide regular updates on how your event organisation is progressing.
- Be the main point of contact for your event.
- Ensuring that activities planned for your event are relevant for your area and take into account geographical layout, tides, etc.
What do you need for this role?
- Be happy and confident in a leading role with the ability to motivate others.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Attention to detail.
- IT literate (MS Office and internet).
